Hedera Council is a governing body made up of leading global organizations dedicated to fostering trust, security, and innovation on the Hedera network.
Présentation
Hedera Council members serve up to two consecutive three-year terms, with participation through designated individual representatives. Council membership is governed by the Hedera Council LLC Agreement, signed by members upon admittance to Hedera Council. For more details on Council responsibilities, refer to the fact sheet.
The Hedera codebase is fully open-source and managed by the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LF Decentralized Trust) as Project Hiero, ensuring vendor-neutral governance and peace of mind for builders. With the tenure and expertise of the Linux Foundation, developers gain access to unparalleled industry collaboration and continuous growth opportunities. Hedera Council members have an equal vote in the direction of Hedera’s software and services. Hiero Improvement Proposals (HIPs) offer the Hedera community a chance to provide input, and are initially reviewed by Hedera Council before being passed to the LF Decentralized Trust for further evaluation.
Hedera Council meets regularly to discuss and make decisions on key priorities, including network technology, pricing, security, and other critical matters. Strategic Partners are invited to open sessions.
