Founded by AI researcher and professor David Krueger, Evitable provides the public with uncompromising, independent perspectives on AI. David has been an influential advocate on AI risk within the AI research community for over a decade; shortly before founding Evitable, he co-authored the landmark paper introducing the term “gradual disempowerment”. In 2023, he became a founding research director at the world-leading UK AI Security Institute and initiated the CAIS Statement on AI Risk, alerting the world to the growing expert concern that AI might lead to human extinction. As companies openly pursue Superintelligent AI that could replace humanity, public opposition is more critical — and powerful — than ever.
