Présentation

dataindex.us is a collaborative effort dedicated to monitoring changes in federal datasets. Our team is building tools to track a broad range of changes in federal datasets to build actionable insights for policymakers, advocates, journalists, and data users.

Christopher Steven Marcum, Ph.D., is a Senior Advisor for Federal Data Policy at the Federation of American Scientists. An open science leader with over 80 scholarly publications, he works on information policy and data governance for projects like dataindex.us and essentialdata.us. He formerly served as Assistant Director for Open Science and Data Policy in the White House OSTP, as well as Senior Statistician and Senior Scientist in the White House OMB.

Bryan is a data scientist and technologist with ten years of experience working with data, statistics, and programming in the federal government and adjacent sectors. As a researcher and consultant, he has seen firsthand the value and power of US federal data, both internally and to the public. As a product manager and user advocate, his efforts focus on making data as useful as possible for the people and groups who need it most.
