As the AI landscape evolves at an incredible pace fueled by open source innovation, FINOS brings together AI leaders and a vibrant community of financial institutions and technology providers to enable the development of critical pre-competitive open specifications and machine-readable controls to accelerate the industry’s agentic future while meeting regulatory and operational requirements.
Leveraging the deep industry expertise and regulatory constraint, we aim to collaboratively build the industry wide specs to enable intra- and inter-firm agentic workflows and define the next generation of financial services technology.
Launched in June 2026, the FINOS AI Fund and Governing Board provides dedicated funding and strategic direction for FINOS AI priorities, projects and investments. This FSI-led body ensures deep expertise in regulated industry requirements and the necessary guardrails for the incredible amount of innovation happening in Open Source AI.
